Kevin is a long-time Independent from Oregon who once upon a time used to be a conservative Republican. Kevin is a ideologically moderate single father with two daughters. My presidential votes going back 18 years: Kerry, Nader (protest vote), Dole, Clinton, Dukakis. He is also a Christian who strongly supports the separation of Church and State. And he also blogs at Indie Castle.
Becky is a writer, artist, wife and mother of two boys. Once a right-wing fundamentalist Christian, through a series of life-changing events she has landed in a moderate no-man's land with a mixture of liberal and conservative views, and is now a deist and registered Independent. Becky most enjoys Friday night dancing, drinking and playing pool with her husband, and weekly family adventures that include boating, skiing, hunting, exploring the science of the natural world, and camping.

Jeff is an independent; moderate; voted against both the Bushes; loves the teachings of Christ and tries to practice them, too, but can't resist pointing out "Christian®" hypocrisy, intolerance, and/or absurdity. He strongly supports church/state separation. He has deep roots in current-home Alabama (but grew up military brat in AK, TX, GA, FL). Other blog is Red Hair & Black Leather
Late, great retirees
Carla is a registered "non affiliated" voter (which in Oregon means essentially registered independent). Carla is a liberal who voted for Al Gore in 2000. She considers herself a Diest (see Deism.org) and in many ways a social Libertarian. She also blogs at Loaded Orygun
Nothstine was a professor of rhetoric and persuasion who went renegade in the early nineties, knotting his sheets together and going over the campus wall. Since then he has been a freelance and corporate editor and writer. Given his background, it's not surprising he's a First Amendment kind of guy, although that leads to some unexpected places. His other blog is Persuasion, Perseverance, and Patience.
Alan is a recovering political hack living in Washington, DC. He is a moderate Democrat and is active in the LGBT rights movement. He hasn't backed a winning candidate in a contested Democratic Presidential primary - ever - and seems to think it's a badge of honor. He thinks he was the first person in the country to discover Paul Tsongas in the 1992 cycle, so if he talks about it - just play along. He also blogs at 39 And Holding and Gay Men Rule.
