Having a family brings a lot of joy, but also a bunch of stresses as well. You simply cannot pack enough into the day to get it all done.

But the best things in life do not revolve around money or aggresively trying to jam pack a day with as many things as possible. They are the carefree times. The times when you love being around people who love being around you. There is an art to it. There is symetry and balance in having fun.

It is not scientific. It is art. It is the ability to let go and relax.

Hopefuly today you can take a few minutes and enjoy the art of having some fun with the people that you love.

Here’s a thought for the day.

How can you preemptively create karma? You do it by INITIATING Goodness.

When someone says something like “I am not a pessimist. I am a REALIST”, I try to respond with something that turns the conversation postive, but the truth of the matter is, that it is already later in the conversation than it should be for me. It is always easier to initiate positivity when you don’t have to undo a negative spin first.

(For the record) My typical answer to the “I am not a pessimist. I am a REALIST” comment is “Are you POSITIVE about that?” follwed by a big grin and quickly after that by some form of comment about what is GREAT today.

You see, by being positive about the world and spreading positive energy, one’s reality does in fact become more and more increasingly positive and a happier place. It is a self fulfilling prophecy.

I’m positive that it works!

When I told you a while back that I was bummed because PreemptiveKarma.com was taken, I had NO idea that you guys would get it, build it and host it for me. I have no earthly idea how you got it, but thanks. This section of my blog is for “Thank You’s and IOU’s” It is a place where I acknowledge the people that are good in my life.

Too often we forget to say thanks when people do something nice. I know this blog is not that big of a deal for you guys (or at least I know you will say that…) but it is a HUGE deal for me.

I would be an ingrate if I did not say THANKS…and say it publicly.

I will do great things with this and you know I will be sending some positivity your way…

Thanks guys!

One of the neat things about this blog is that I get to post about some of the things that I know to be undeniably true. I was talking with a friend the other day. She was in an argument with someone who had offended her and she used the phrase “Payback’s a bitch.” How unfortunate of a way to look at things. She was not in a mood for me to approach the subject, but someday soon I will.

It is entirely possible to go through life and feed off of the positive energy of what comes back to you that is indirectly (or even directly sometimes!) a result of the positive energy that you exude. Call it payback (as she did) , or karma (as I do) , or whatever…the bottomline is that if you put out positive, you get positive in return.

What could happen if my friend returned good to the person that offended her instead of looking for a way to create a scenario where Payback is a bitch and she is generating a lot of unneeded negative energy in her life.

When it is good, payback is not a bitch. It is return on the investment of positive energy in those around you. Pretty cool.
